Less than 2 weeks now and The Halcyon, the newest Boutique hotel in Bath is a hive of activity. The decorators are finishing off, the cocktail bar is being installed and all the software systems are beginning to come to life. Bookings have been pouring in and we are already fully booked for the first weekend (Valentines Weekend) and very nearly booked for the 4 following weekend as well. There has been lots of interest in our Champagne in Room promotion and the Bath Spa promotion.
We have received some great compliments from every one who has come to visit - its a real pleasure when some one new to the hotel remarks on the great design. The furniture is arriving now and the only hiccup has been the wardrobe units - they have been manufactured a little low, they are very usable but not quite how we imagined, so we are rushing to get these altered before opening fingers crossed!

Its only 18 days away until we open the doors to our first guests at The Halcyon, a boutique hotel in central Bath. We are very excited and have been amazingly busy over the past few months to make sure we are ready. We are on schedule to open on the 11th February and amazingly we're on budget!......its been 2 years in the planning and the place is really beginning to take shape. The interior designers are putting the finishing touches and all the deliveries are starting to pour in.....parcels continually arriving, very exciting even if it is just 2 hand dryers for WC's!
The hotel is located 2 minutes walk from the station - every morning the commuters have been walking past the building with the scaffolding covering the exterior. Finally last week they were able to see the unveiling, the pair of elegant listed Georgian town houses were finally revealed having had a good wash and brush up!
Tomorrow we have a DJ arriving that has put together over 48hrs of music for the cocktail bar so we won't be short of beats for the opening party. We have a great cocktail bar and Hector the General Manager is a great mixologist!
