Bath is a small city blessed with a frankly embarrassing bounty of riches. You can walk across town in just 30 minutes, but you could spend an age exploring the sights, absorbing the atmosphere, or just soaking in the spa.
The whole town is a UNESCO world heritage site, a living museum of honey-stone terraces, architectural gems and leafy squares. In Georgian times the city was the UK’s party capital, packed with the day’s movers and shakers, including a certain Miss J Austen. And while the corsets may have loosened, the city still has a definite good time vibe. As one would expect due our fantastic city centre location there is the very infrequent risk of city sounds from outside the hotel but rest assured we have secondary glazing and a night porter who will do their best to prevent it from disturbing your stay.
The Halcyon boutique hotel is your gateway to the city. Benefiting from its city centre location, you are just around the corner from all the must-see sights including the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, Pultney Bridge and the Thermae Spa - making it an excellent Bath centre location for spa breaks. A five-minute walk brings you to the Circus and the Royal Crescent. As the Bath Spa train station is just a hop, skip and jump away, there really is no need for a taxi.
